Fourth Of July!

This post is pretty self explanatory…. our fourth of the july was a total blast. A few early morning rain showers, one while setting up, one as everyone arrived, and then clear blue skies for the rest of the day. We had a good old fashioned bbq, cocktails, and pool fun. We decidedly missed the fireworks and we weren’t too sad about it (read: weren’t sad at all). 
While Smirnoff didn’t ask me to post any of this, it’s been incredible teaming up with them (twice now). Everyone I’ve been in contact with over there has been ahh-maz-ing to work with. I’m really glad they asked me to plan an event, not much else was going on, and this was everything I would have liked my fourth of July to be. What else could be better than friends, fun, and good party times?  I’d like to think I’m not half bad at this last minute party throwing thing 😉

    Looks like so much fun! I went to Lake George and did go see the fireworks and definitely regret that decision. The traffic was at a stand still and we didn't get to begin leaving back to our motel until 2.5 hours after the show :-/

    I think I'll be following your lead next year and skipping the fireworks.

      Our firework show would have been close enough where we could have walked and seen them from a distance, but we are lazy and content staying put. Alex and I ended up driving downtown afterwards to meet up with some friends and there was SO MUCH traffic leaving so I'm really happy we stayed away during the actual event.
