🙂 This summer has truly been a summer of possibilities. Like I said, I planned this trip to Massachusetts with very little in mind other than: working, family time, and catching up with far away friends. Then as the date approached, even more good things appeared in front of me… and then I actually came here, and BAM: a dream happened. Marlowe and I are officially starting to pack up again. In five short days: We’re heading to Hawaii! We’ll be finishing our summer adventure on Oahu, cooking for the more than wonderful: Fortuna Family. I cannot wait. In between cooking meals for everyone, we will be spending our time on the beach, exploring wildlife, cuddling a baby… and also: working on another fun project. This trip came up so completely unexpected. Maryam and I had talked about it back and forth, but I didn’t know how truly serious she was about flying me out there. Well, I guess she was pretty serious because before I knew it, a confirmation email arrived, stating that my flight was booked. We’re sad to leave our friends and family in Massachusetts much quicker than expected, but this is absolutely an opportunity that I would be crazy to pass up. I’m so grateful that children adjust so well and so grateful to have such a supportive family, uplifting and reassuring me that: though they will miss us, I am absolutely making the right move. I cannot wait. I feel so truly lucky to have this opportunity. Blessed really, to be able to pursue my dreams without having to sacrifice my family. It has been and will be so wonderful to have Marlowe by my side, every step of the way. She is going to love it. LOVE it: two little boys to play and explore with, one little brand new baby to give kisses to, beautiful sunshine, and beach time every single day. What a dream life for both of us.
**the photo above was taken a few days before heading to Massachusetts, when we had NO IDEA that Hawaii would be in our future. Maybe Marlowe has been secretly wishing for this all along 😉
