We knew we had one solid family day trip in our short time in Massachusetts together. I threw out a few different ideas of places to go, but I knew when it came down to it, Alex was going to choose to drive west, into the Berkshires. We woke up to dreary, cold, and *could rain any moment* weather, but still packed up the car with a birthday crown wearing girl and told her to look out for farms. We drove around a few of the towns and headed to an apple orchard for picking. We stocked up on plenty of apples to bring home with us and ran back to the car right before the rain hit. We continued on to berkshire mountain bakery for bread (maybe the sole reason for our drive out west?). We grabbed the crunchiest loaf they could offer and some kombucha for the road and headed east with the sun finally peeking out for a few setting hours in the day. We love our home, a lot…. but scenic drives and apple picking is definitely a nice change from our typical sticky Florida mango picking 🙂

  1. What a beautiful place. I miss our apples in our backyard. 🙂 Never been to Massachusetts before and sure is a lovely drive.

  2. I really dig Marlowe's sense of style. Wonder if I can try wearing a tiara, stripey leggings, and silver ballet shoes to work? I think so…

  4. Such wonderful places you do find to visit. Apple picking, fresh bread and kombucha – lucky you.

  5. Berkshire mtn bakery… Yummm. Always a great day trip from here in Amherst, ma

  6. That's wonderful! I looooove the Berkshires! Even though I only live two hours away and I'm surrounded by most of the same stuff (the foliage, temperature, types of people), I'm always baffled by how beautiful everything is. This looks like it was a great day!
