rambutan! Marlowe loves these and still talks about trying them for the first time at the mango farm
(her memory always amazes me. she was so little!)

she asked for a picture. here ya go, kiddo.
(her last ballet class)

coffee shop hangs. I had planned to snap a few photos and write a sentimental post on how us doing these things together are awesome— but I’ll spare you. I’l just say, he’s been doing what he can to help out and it’s been awesome.

more mornings.
An interesting combination of food, right? my life is everywhere.

and afternoons….

her afternoons! after a year of not napping, she started sometimes asking for them again. which would be cool if it didn’t push her bedtime to 10.

hey ma, a pre garden dirty mirror selfie.
(custom case). people keep asking, my hat was from a local garden store (not helpful). (&sunglasses)

fried food and carbs, the late post blood work breakfast of champions— how colombian of me πŸ˜‰  ps. I got my blood work back, I’m a rockstar. yay health!

she wanted another picture. she’s cute, I don’t mind.

hey! I went out! I left the house— with grownups! and there was food and drinks and dancing! wow! It’s like I’m not a 60 year old cat lady recluse any more or something! I love my friends, need more time with them.

summer time hangs.
look ma, a double selfie. we took a bunch— the others were— less serious πŸ˜‰

  1. The last photo is so lovely. Everything looks very cheery where you are, I'm so pleased for you. I'm intrigued by the rambutan. Nothing so exotic here!

    • IT IS. The green kind though— not a maduro. Fried delicious goodness.

  2. I always enjoy these types of posts! One question, though, why was it Marlowe's last ballet class? She seems to really enjoy it πŸ™‚

    • We're going to try gymnastics and swim next πŸ˜‰ Maybe some faster dance too πŸ™‚

  4. Rambutan is fruit of my country, Indonesia. it's sweet, fresh, but sometimes you can find sour ones. Perfect fruit for your summer. You have to try it! πŸ˜€

  5. You're going to have to do a how-to on that rambutan because I am completely lost haha I've never even seen that before. There's so many random fruits at the grocery store now that it's spring that I have zero clue how to cut/eat and then I think of you and I'm like maybe one day Drea will teach me haha. Star fruits, dragon fruits, horned melons, etc. Also, my 3 year old has never napped but lately she has been occasionally and then doesn't sleep til seriously 11pm. It's.. good and bad haha

    • haha not much too them— you probably just won't be finding them anywhere north of here. You find one, you bite it in half, peel off skin and suck off flesh. yum.

    • It's sweet, dear. Some is sour. It's my country fruit, Indonesia. It's little bit like longan or lychee, you have to try it!!!! πŸ˜€

  6. Such sweet photos! I really love the last selfie; you two look like models! And I've never had rambutan before, but it looks like the most alien fruit I've ever seen and it's officially on my bucket list. πŸ™‚
