How has your week been? Mine has been pretty good– whether or not that’s surprising, I don’t know. But its been good! I feel like I should just knock on wood while I type this post out though— just in case.

I feel slightly frantic. My email list is ten miles long and my to do list doesn’t seem to be shrinking, no matter what gets accomplished, but I’m sort of okay with it– because this week, I at least have some of the mind energy to work on everything. keyword: some. It’s 9:30 pm and I’m fading fast. I’ve added (or subtracted I guess) two things this week. And whether both or one of those things is the reason I feel better, I don’t know, but I’m going to keep at it.

Alex and I had a great day together this week. Our first really good one since THIS day. I felt normal— really normal– I could think, I could speak, I wasn’t second guessing how out of it I would sound. It was really good you guys. The next day (today) wasn’t quite as good— but I know it’s just how it goes and I’ll take the good days any time, even if their not consistent.

This past week, we’ve also been dealing with the side effects that come with Marlowe entering school. Every other day she’s fighting off a sniffle, a tickle in her throat, a small fever, or something else. Welcome to the world of school, kid. I know she’s building up her immunity which is a plus— but my immunity level is SOL lately so I’m avoiding all the extra kisses. We made big batch of elderberry syrup, stocked up on multivitamins (I was excited to see these have 100% b12), and loaded up on vitamin C candies. We’re just going to do what we can.

I’m in a much better mood this week— as you can probably tell— just trying to stay positive every day. I know I still have a lot of down days that will happen, but the good days feel really, really good now. Again, never taking them for granted.

I’m putting together a lot of (what I think are) good posts for next week and I’ll be tackling my inbox too. Side note/by the way: it’s pretty amusing to me that about a 1/4 of my emails revolve around poop now. Thank you sweet readers and friends for thinking about me every time you think about poop— it makes me feel special haha. <3<3<3

I hope you guys had a great week and have an even better weekend. <3

*I snapped the photo above at a friends house this week. Friends that I don’t see nearly enough. I mean I don’t see any of my friends enough anymore, but especially these folks. And they have a serious soft spot in my heart. Really– they helped me more than they know when I was quite alone and scared 5-6 years ago. It was so so good to see them. Love you Inah. Love you Randy. Love you new baby Wyatt.

  1. yey yey yey!!! So happy that you are feeling good and having good days!!! Wonderful news!!!! I love your blog and you are a gem. I rarely comment, but was too excited for you not to say yey!!!

  2. I know what you mean about your to-do list making you feel frantic, I'm on the verge of panic quite often. Everyone is back at school this week though, so although I miss them like mad, at least there is a little more time for doing my writing course and one or two things from the endless list. Glad you had such a good day yesterday, I'm wishing you very many more. CJ xx
