Who needs a cocktail around here? I do, that’s for sure. We all do, really. Alex has been doing the cocktail drinking and I’ve been doing the cocktail dreaming, and I guess that all seems to be working just fine. Adam Lippes recently released a new fall/plaid collection at Target— and I’m all about it. I knew right off the bat Alex would be obsessed with the cocktail accessories— especially the plaid roll up. It’s functional, good looking, and travels well— Alex says he’s especially excited to bring it on future camping trips. We’re looking to do another big group camping trip when the weather cools a bit, and I’m thinking I should and could and would be drinking fun cocktails by then too.

In the meantime, I’ll just be sitting and sniffing delicious cocktails that others enjoy and watching Alex enjoy his new plaid cocktail-making set.

This cocktail smells particularly delicious and Alex says it tastes amazing too. 😉 It’s simple, straightforward, and perfect for any season, but created with the people of cooler climates in mind. 😉

You’ll need:
One chilled glass
2 ounces bourbon
1 ounce sweet vermouth
1/2 ounce Cointreau
2 ounces pomelo juice (or sub grapefruit juice)
2 dashes angostura bitters
Rosemary for garnish

How to:
Combine all ingredients and add a few dashes of bitters, give a good stir and pour over ice. Garnish with rosemary. Breathe in, breathe out, take a sip, and enjoy!

Easy right? I hope you guys make this, and cheers to good health and love. 😉 Happy (belated) autumn!
