Happy friday friends! How has your week been? I’m super happy to report that my stomach is doing much better today! I guess a few things could have triggered my random stop in digestion— but I dont know exactly what or why! Either way, I do know that’s passing (pun intended? ew) and I’m of course happy about that! I’ve said it before, but you’ll never believe how much poop comes up in conversation once you’ve had c. diff! At least daily— in my life, in my home, in email, everywhere. poop poop poop.
Other than my lapse in stomach functioning this week, I have been feeling pretty good. My energy is climbing back to normal, my mood is pretty good (except for the frustrations when the health stuff does pop up), family is super good, and the future looks good too!
I wanted to share this write up I was in for my local paper. I’ve been in a few magazines and things lately for my book and such– it’s been pretty rad overall. But I really like this story— the writer, Liz was so sweet and awesome– and not scary at all (like I assumed she would be, haha). And I totally don’t mind that she basically said that my house smells like curry (it totally does, specifically curry leaves right now). I mean, I haven’t been in a paper since I was maybe 7 years old? And I have to say, I didn’t know what the story would really look like at all– and then I got a text from my step mom saying it was in the paper— so I went off to whole foods, picked up some groceries and a paper (or four papers, you know, gotta send some to my mom!) and got back in the car. I assumed I’d have to search a good bit to find the article, but no, boom, it was right there with my face front and center of the accent page! I guess my goal in attempting to share my face more is working out 😉 But seriously, I am trying to not hide behind the camera so much and to actually share my face! It is my face after all– it’s not going anywhere so I have to be comfortable with it being seen 😉 Which means I’m doing a decent job accomplishing the three goals I set for myself this year. 1. show my face more. 2. get outside more. 3. not stress about the little things, especially the things I can’t control. check check check. One more thing, before I sign off— I already posted this on my Facebook— but THIS book is by far one of my favorite new reads. I’m going to recommend it to everyone all the time. If you’re looking for a good, straight forward book about health, I’d suggest you pick it up. It called me over in the book store and interested me within a paragraph of the first random chapter I opened to. And it officially became my new obsession as soon as I learned more about the author (he went to Cornell for agriculture before deciding to go to med school at Tufts. Agriculture + medicine? I’m in!) Healing yourself without medicines– and with solely whole foods and plants is possible— I’m proof of that! After much damage, it’s happening! Whether you’re sick or healthy, I’d highly recommend picking up the book! 🙂
