So crazy to think I would be doing one of these for a quick Massachusetts trip. Some of our enjoyed time in Massachusetts….

finding new (to me) vegan specialty items! So for this, I am torn. I hate things that are packaged, because 93% plus of the earths waste comes from packaging… also because most (almost all) food that comes packaged is processed. But even still, I’m a sucker for clever branding, especially when it comes on easily recycled packaging… and of course, it’s a wonderful bonus when the stuff inside is yummy and relatively healthy.

sometimes you just need a push.

Well, believe it or not, we’re still traveling.  If everything went as planned, we should be arriving any hour now to the island of Oahu. This is post has been scheduled, and the next post will most likely be a scheduled post too, but I’ll be back with an update in another day or so. Both Marlowe and I, really enjoyed our time in Massachusetts. I had so many plans, friend visits, parties, and adventures that I wanted to take part in, but I really enjoyed spending the last week of my trip doing next to nothing, and just saving up energy for the trip. I woke up with a tickle in my throat and didn’t want to expend any extra bit of energy, unless I had to. It’s been strange having so much extra help. I almost felt lazy, because I was able to sit for so many moments in the day. I’m not sure if I prefer it that way or not, honestly, I think I prefer my go-go-go. I’ve grown so accustomed to doing everything, by myself, all at once. But it certainly was a nice change of pace. And Marlowe absolutely adored staying with my mom and step dad. She’s most def. growing more and more. Eating insane amounts of food, constantly. Pulling herself up to the dining table demanding (with a smile) “tofu. eat. tofu. eat”. Running around the house “paba joose” (grandpa juice) “abu abu abu abu” (short for abuela). On the days it didn’t rain, the weather was perfect. The grass was soft. Three trees were the greenest green. Very surprising for me: one of my favorite activities of this trip, was driving. I loved driving through Worcester again. The windows down, the hills, the undefined lanes, the mass-holes. It felt freeing. I still miss my friends in Florida, I miss our routine, keeping a regular gym/yoga schedule, little things here and there, and I even miss my crazy, crippled mutt a bit too. But I am so happy we got to spend this time up here. I really needed this break. I’m looking forward to seeing where this life keeps taking us.
