Hello mates! I’m baaaaack! ….. and slightly sea sick…? The room is swaying a bit right now. I certainly wasn’t sea sick aboard the ship, but now my head and body feels a bit off (okay, very very off). Always an adjustment time I suppose 😉 The trip was great! A perfect mix of partying and relaxing. Day one started a bit late, as we didn’t board the ship until later in the afternoon… annnnd day one also included a fair amount of rain, clouds, and some pretty intense (awesome) lightning. We were trapped indoors for much of the first day (night) due to rain, but we still had a blast. We ate food as soon as we boarded, explored the boat, ran through the safety drills, had a some cocktails, dinner… then for the first time ever: I won at bingo! Yes! Three hundred dollars! It was a great way to start the cruise knowing that any money spent was kind of just… *extra* and wouldn’t be tightening up my wallet when I returned. Way to go bingo magic! Afterwards, we had a few more drinks and danced danced danced.

what’s a cruise without an airbrush tattoo?
(I don’t even know how to answer my own question)

Bingo! I was trembling when I had to walk to the front and show my card. I was so nervous to see if I had messed up! Also, I genuinely surprised myself at the way I yelled “bingo”.

Random fact: every single person we encountered could not believe our ages. We were constantly being questioned if we were old enough to even drink. Mouths would drop when our cards would swipe and our ages popped up on the computer screen. Yes, we are 27 and 26. No, we aren’t on summer vacation. Yes, we are old enough to be holding a drink. Yes, I know we look young, but I sometimes find it very hard to believe that people would question if we were (are) even 18! Hah. Crazy time.

I’m so very happy to be back. Today, Marlowe was the happiest I have probably ever seen her. She laughed ridiculous amounts and kept pulling me onto my bed to cuddle. Such a nice welcome return home 🙂 She had a blast with my mom and I am certain my mom had a blast with her. I can’t wait for Alex to bring her back to me in the morning!
I have a few more photos of the trip coming this way. So many beautiful shades of blue and greens. The colors were truly amazing! And the best thing was that we woke up to the most gorgeous weather on the first morning. &Each day following was more beautiful and more sunny than the day before 🙂

  1. So glad you had a good time! Ha…James and I still have a free cruise to cash in on. He won it at a karaoke contest on a previous cruise singing a very epic rendition of meatloaf's "i will do anything for love," completely sober. No inhibitions, that one. I'll stuck to bingo. 😉

  2. Sounds like you had a much needed r&r!! that is awesome you won the cash!! I look really young also and on top of two babes, I love it when i get carded!!! Almost 30, I will GLADLY show you my id 🙂

  3. i've never been on a cruise…but this kinda makes me want to go on one. or at least makes me wonder how old i would be according to cruise-people.

    • This is my third cruise. Once as a child. Second time was a drunken party with my gay friends (many MANY moons ago). And this one. They have their perks… like being out in the middle of the ocean with no connection to the outside world… but they aren't good for the people who want to explore or plan their trips around food.

  4. Winning BINGO rocks. When you actually when that is. I once screamed it at the top of my lungs at an old folks bingo joint we frequented for a while, because you know that's fun, and um, I hadn't bingoed. I had to say my bad and oh boy were those old folks pissed!! ha. I think that was our last time there.

Glad you had fun on the cruise!!

  5. oh man, it took me like a week to feel normal again after I went on a cruise. I didn't feel it on the ship, either, just on land.

  6. i LOVE bingo on cruises! it's easy to end up spending way too much money playing, but sometimes my husband and i would go and just watch the other people. another fun place to watch people….late night karaoke. they were always drunk and so funny! 🙂

    • We only played one round! And it was right after karaoke… which I HATE. And it seemed especially terrible that night.

  7. Did you manage to make it a vegan cruise? So glad you had an amazing time – can't wait to read more!

  8. I love your genuine smile on the bingo card photo! Congrats. Can't wait to see more pix – what a wonderful and much needed getaway!

    • Haha! I twas so excited and nervous… and maybe a little bit tipsy 😉

    • The last day had the prettiest pictures for sure. If I wasn't scared of the ocean, I would have jumped in it.
