Our park days are coming to a (temporary) end around here. I know most of the country is complaining about the snow that just won’t stay away—but here, we’re still hoping for a few more days of cooler weather. This winter was short and sporadic— with it reaching high 80’s most days. But we move on, into the sun, and through the heat, because it will only get hotter here in south Florida. We do a lot of outdoor picnics (you may have noticed)— a lot of times at the beach, a lot of times at the park— and when we’re feeling just a tad more lazy or running short on time (Alex leaves for work mid afternoon), we just fill up a bottle of water and grab a few snacks—- to well, go! 😉

Snacks can be difficult. I think so anyway. I mean, it’s a constant battle for me with junk food cravings— I’ll always pass on cake, but hand over the fries and chips NOW. And on the really fidgety nights? The nachos, always with the vegan nachos– a vice for me, for sure. It’s pretty easy to just go by the “don’t buy, don’t eat rule”— if you don’t have snacks, you won’t eat snacks, but with a toddler around, that whole thing doesn’t really work. “Sorry kid, mom has no self control with snacks, so you can’t have them either”—- yeah, okay, right.
We got to try out NatureBox this month (a monthly snack subscription box— yes, snacks, straight to your doorstep!), which has been GREAT. What I found to be incredibly neat was that you can choose what snacks come in your box— cool right? That’s not the neat (best) part— you can filter out your choices to non GMO, gluten free, vegan(!) and more. Instead of my usual *run into store, grab bag of bbq chips* routine, we’ve been able to try a whole bunch of new and healthy snacks. Marlowe has been obsessed with all the different dried fruit snacks, and I’ve been enjoying (and sharing) the savory ones. So now, our quick park days are not only deliciously snack filled, but also healthy too. *For your health*

We’ve got one more celebratory giveaway this month! I know there has been SO many! This one is extra yummy— just keep scrolling 🙂

  32. I've had my eye on this box for a while. Seems like such a great idea but I was worried the amount I receive might not be worth the money each month. I tried the Conscious Box and felt it to be not nearly worth 20$ a month and most of the things were the same each month. I like that with this you can choose your snacks. I'd like to get my daughter eating healthier snacks too!
