Unlike the last time Alex popped over to Massachusetts from New York to surprise me— (almost exactly two years ago!), I knew about this visit. We hoped to maybe give Marlowe a big surprise this time so yesterday morning I told her I was going to get her surprise and I would be back in just a little bit. Two hours later, I walked up to the back of the house and tell her “I have your surprise!” Enter Alex. She looks at him and says “Where’s my surprise?”
Gotta love her. Either way she and I are both thrilled to have him here for the last leg of our trip. The last time he came was to propose to me! Since then we’ve had more ups, more downs, and now here we are, two years later, married, surprising our kid together. Well, we tried to surprise her anyway πŸ˜‰
We’re heading off on a short family day trip to the Berkshires in search of bread and fruit. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

  1. So sweet! Gotta love those candid responses from toddlers, they never think what you expect they will. Haha. I find it funny that you posted these photo booth pictures since I just dug up some of me and my husband that I never posted anywhere. You guys are so adorable!

  2. Enjoy your time in the Berkshires! I live in this special corner of western mass and it's sweet to know you'll be in the neighborhood today πŸ™‚ Also, I want to thank you for your honest and informational posting about macca. Reading your words made me feel that I'm not alone in my struggle with hormones (and the effects of intense stress on them and my body). Thank you for being so revealed – it's brave – and that in turn encourages me to be both brave and proactive. I'll definitely be trying this remedy!
