If you’ve never been to a mango auction… that’s what it looks like^ It’s a trip to see bidding wars over a few mangoes in a basket. 90$ for a handful of mangoes? Maybe next time.
If you’re local to the area, I highly recommend checking out the Wings of The Tropics exhibit at The Fairchild Tropical Gardens. We went this weekend for the annual Mango Festival and it was magical. I completely regret not buying Alex and I another round of yearly memberships (pre paying for the already pricey 25$ entrance fee). If I had known the new exhibit was this awesome? I would probably make my visit at least a monthly thing. We had them before, when we were dating in Miami, but I haven’t renewed them since. It’s been about three years give or take since we’ve been there, the last time being when Marlowe was just a little baby in utero, but it doesn’t feel that long at all. It feels like it was just yesterday. The time just keeps flying by.
Marlowe’s dress turned shirt: here.

Great pictures! I love me some mangos–and an auction, how funny! Xx
My boyfriend and I have memberships to Fairchild, we've been keeping them up for years now. It's one of our favorite places to go. I've been dying to go see Wings, but the weather has been atrocious here in Miami. Maybe this rain will let up soon enough π
go go go!
A lot of my friends went to this! I'm sad I missed it.

I love butterflies! We had butterflies my preschool classroom for the past two years. It's so fun to see these funky looking caterpillars turn into such beautiful creatures!

This place looks amazing. I can't believe how tame those butterflies are letting you hold them. My little one would love it.
