What a great weekend! I think the only downside was running out of picture space on my blog! Now thats pretty awesome/amazing/fantastic to have that be the only thing that goes wrong. Well that, and I had a bit of a sore throat Sunday, but Marlowe could see I needed some extra sleep and gave me a whole nights sleep Sunday night. Woo!Saturday morning started off by me eating leftovers in bed. True story. Whatever, it was delicious. Laura came by later that afternoon where we enjoyed leftover sweets from Thanksgiving and then went on a walk to Starbucks: Twice. I couldn’t find my debit card and wasn’t sure if I dropped it on the walk so we retraced our steps…. turned out to be sitting on my dining table the whole time. Oh, mommy-brain. Later Eric came by and Laura passed out on my bed. Then, it happened again…. Pizzeria. Ugh. We are so guilty in over indulging in pizza. We can’t help it, we are addicted and it is delicious.
It turns out I like apple pie! Warm fruit is not my thing. I’ve never enjoyed a fruit pie before, until now. Heidi made a vegan apple pie for Thanksgiving I brought it home, heated it up, paired it with some melty icecream, and really enjoyed it! Who knew!
Pizzeria was sort of-kind of a last minute decision… and a good decision, until it started to rain. All their seating is primarily outdoors, minus 6 bar seats and two small two-seaters. But all the rain didn’t keep us away. We were lucky to have all 6 of us (6 plus Marlowe of course!) grab all 6 bar seats and enjoy the delicious-ness indoors while staying nice and dry!ย Unfortunately bar seating is not the greatest for intimate conversation or group photo taking. Oh well ๐
Oh Narragansett, how I miss youย (the town, not the beer)! I used to live there and it was beautiful.
One of my favorites ๐
Sunday was a lazy day. I woke up with a little bit of a sore throat and a lot of laziness running through my body. I was hoping to go on a bike ride (actually: a tricycle ride. I never learned how to ride a bike), but the rain continued throughout the day. Marlowe and I stayed in our pjs all day and snuggled up in bed. I did however manage to do bit of cleaning and made a last minute veggie pot pie. Later Eric came over and we planned a pretty fun Christmas gift for a few of our friends.
This picture sums up the day pretty well: Marlowe passed out with her face smashed against a broccoli.
Yes, I am guilty of using pre-made pie crust. Hey, in my defense: I already said it was a lazy day! I don’t even know how I puled together this pie, my fridge is so bare right now from living off of Thanksgiving leftovers.
Christmas gift planning! It should be a pretty good gift if it all works out. Too bad only 3 people, +Marlowe, +two dogs have inside information on the idea ๐ I guess everyone else will have to wait ’til Christmas ๐
I hope everyone had a pleasurable Thanksgiving weekend! I know, I’m really thankful for the amazing weekend Marlowe and I shared with so many friends and family ๐
PS. Please take a second and vote for us again <3 We moved up a space or two since the previous Thanksgiving post! ๐
PPS. Did you guys happen to see our new banner? Eric whipped it up for us yesterday! Adorable!
