I like to call this one, “clutter I’m okay with in other peoples homes”, but it’s in mine and I’m okay with it, because I got to sleep in.

Have you guys made elderberry syrup yet? I finally made my batch this week. So good, so easy, never wasting money on pre-made again.
Also, I haven’t completely forgotten about my vegan kitchen posts yet. I’ll be back to posting more kiddo friendly recipes soon soon.

  1. I love your blog! This is my first time commenting. Congrats on your 6-month anniversary. (You and your family are stunning, by the way, and I love your style!)

What's your kale recipe? I have dumplings on the brain and now I want to mash kale and tofu and make veggie mandu. But it's late and I have a toddler and a baby…so that's not going to happen!

    Thanks for the pics!

What's your kale recipe? Just kale with s&p in phyllo? Might be yummy to mash it with tofu and use sesame oil (kind of like vegetarian mandu).

    Congrats on your anniversary!

  3. Dear Drea,
I am a reader from Germany who totally adores your blog! So far just following silently I just wanted to give you some props! I really enjoy reading and come back many times! So: thank you!
I love the vegan recipes and I would totes buy one of your vegan cookbooks!
One last thing: I admired the cloth-curtain thing hanging over your bed many times. you know, the Mexican? cloth with the V shape with animals and birds on it. Could you please tell me where you got it from?
    Lots of love,
    Sarah

    • I bought it from a small indian shop. It's vintage, they don't have anymore or an online site! It's sad, I know!

    • I've been searching for one of these, too, inspired by Drea, and have found a lot on ebay and etsy by searching "indian door valance"! πŸ™‚

  4. How is it 60 in south Florida?!Florida weather… I can't figure it out! I moved to Gainesville from Wyoming 2 months ago, and it was a sweaty 83 today. Missing the cool weather and wishing it could be 60 here. Also appreciating the rice/beans/plantains/avocado meal.. its become a staple now that I'm a Floridian πŸ™‚

  5. You are stunning.

Also, happy 6 month anniversary! I meant to write that on your other post, but this one will do. I so loved your video from Mexico. I'll be in Tulum in April and your photos/video got me so excited. What a magical place.

One more thing: harvest moon? The most perfect song. My dad used to sing it for my mom when he was in a band when they were younger. Neil Young forever.

  6. i love all of your recently enjoyed things! the plantains, rice, and beans, and wonton soup all look super delicious!

  7. We love plantain now, since seeing it here and trying it. Thanks for the tip. You looked beautiful on date night, just beautiful. Love the picture of the walkway to the water. You do live in such a wonderful place.
